Sleep plays an essential role in general health and well-being. It impacts physical, mental, and emotional health.  As you’ve probably noticed, the quality and quantity of your sleep directly affects the quality of your day, including your mental sharpness, productivity and emotional balance.  But did you know that poor sleep is associated with conditions including obesity, diabetes, and dementia?  Join Laila Tomsovic, ND for an informative and engaging talk on sleep rhythms, sleep biology, and what steps you can take towards easy, restful nights.

Dr. Laila Tomsovic is a naturopathic physician, raised and educated in New England. She is honored to support people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds as they return to wellness. She practices primary care in Vermont and as a specialist in natural medicine in Massachusetts and Vermont.  In addition to the variety of concerns brought to general naturopathic care, she has particular interests in digestive and women’s health, mood, and sleep. She also offers craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation: gentle, powerful forms of physical medicine for pain and other conditions.

She earned her degree in 2011 from Bastyr University in Seattle.  The Bastyr program–four to five years of academic and clinical training–combines the medical sciences with in-depth study of traditional and evidence-based treatments.  She has been practicing in Northampton since 2012 and in Brattleboro since 2013.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, photography, and spending time with her family. She lives in the woods of Western Massachusetts with her family, their dog, two cats, and ten hens.  She is the current Vice President of the Massachusetts Society of Naturopathic Doctors and a member of the Vermont Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
