Build A More Resilient and Confident Organization

Corporate Employee Mindfulness Programs

Mindful employees make companies thrive from the inside out.

Why Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention on purpose.

It’s the ability to live in the here and now, where we no longer pay attention to random thoughts,  allowing our minds to slow down and our bodies to relax.

It’s the ability to become more self-aware - to notice our own thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Mindfulness allows us to let go of unhealthy or negative thoughts and emotions and deal with life’s challenges in a more effective way.

Mindfulness improves employee well-being.

Signature Program

Building Resilience and Confidence: A 10-Part Mindfulness Series

Michele’s 10-part signature corporate mindfulness program builds session to session and is designed to inspire and support your team through challenging and stressful times.  A summary of each lesson is described below.

  • Uncertainty and change happen in our lives every day. And most of the time, we feel stressed, powerless and overwhelmed by all of it.

Although we can’t control external circumstances, we can use mindfulness techniques to control our reaction to change in order to better manage our relationship with it.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • Why our human nature is to crave certainty, even when we logically know nothing is certain.

    • How to recognize your inner wisdom and quiet your inner critic.

    • How to identify your thinking mind vs. your inner wisdom using a meditation practice called Noting Meditation

    • Mindfulness practices to help you better manage uncertainty during times of change.

  • In today’s world you are constantly being asked to do more with less and be everything to everyone. The amount of tasks, responsibilities and roles you manage on a daily basis is impressive. And sometimes it can all be overwhelming because being busy is exhausting.

But we can do something about learning how to live in the moment to prevent fatigue and start to tackle that to-do list in no time with ease and clarity.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • How chronic stress negatively impacts your body and mind

    • What it means to live in the present moment

    • Mindfulness techniques to bring your awareness to the here and now so you can stay clear and focused

  • Each day you use energy to regulate your behavior and emotions, problem solve, plan, make decisions, resist temptations and be persistent when dealing with conflict or tough situations. And, on the days you use more energy than your body has to give, you are left feeling depleted and exhausted.

Instead of “pushing through” and potentially making poor decisions (or no decisions at all), you can learn how to directly impact your energy using your breath. Just a few deep conscious breaths can reset your entire system.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • What energy is and how it impacts your overall health

    • The connection between energy and awareness

    • How energy flows throughout your body

    • How your breath directly impacts your mental and physical energy

    • Various breathing exercises to help you feel more grounded and less depleted

  • “You can’t pour from an empty cup” is a widely used saying that means you can’t take care of other people until you take care of yourself first. Although self-care is important, there never seems to be enough time in the day for it. We feel exhausted and depleted which might even eventually lead us to make bad decisions at work or at home.

Learning how to make time for the right self-care, even if it is just a few minutes a day, will give you the energy and balance you need to make better decisions, have healthier relationships and be happier in life.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • The physical and mental impacts of being depleted

    • Why self-love and self-care are so important

    • The importance of slowing down and taking breaks

    • Various activities you can do (in less than 5 minutes a day) to refill your well

  • Moving your body is an effective way to improve your overall health and reduce stress. This slow, full-body practice will include grounding, warming and meditative postures to ease tension, calm the mind and increase a sense of well-being.

Please come wearing comfortable clothes you can move in, as this will be a part lecture, part seated and standing class. All levels are welcome!

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • The importance of physical movement, especially for stress reduction

    • Types of physical activities to destress and reduce overwhelm (without needing a lot of time)

    • Spine movements and joint rotations to warm and ground the body that you can do on a daily basis

    • Seated and standing movements to practice anytime in order to feel more balanced and grounded.

  • Research studies show that meditation can create a deep state of relaxation and a calmer mind because it helps to slow down your nervous system, reduce your heart rate and lower your respiration rate.

Unfortunately many people believe the goal of meditation is to quiet the mind and don’t think that’s possible, so they don’t give it a try.

The good news is that the practice of meditation is to become more aware of your thoughts, not to change them, so you can learn to better understand them. And once you better understand them, you can begin to change your relationship with them in order to improve the quality of your life.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • The many benefits of starting a meditation practice, without setting aside a ton of time each day.

    • How to identify stressful situations that cause you to habitually respond and how to create a little space between the stressor and your response.

    • How to be comfortable being uncomfortable

    • Meditation practices to relax the body and focus the mind

  • The amount of energy you have during the day can vary greatly depending on the time of day, the quality and length of your sleep, and your physical environment. Understanding how each of these play a role in your day-to-day activities allows you to make adjustments that will help clear your mind, reduce your stress and increase your productivity.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • How the time of day can impact your energy level based on your own constitution.

    • How to create a morning routine that will help you stay balanced throughout the day,, without requiring a lot of time

    • Why it’s important to de-clutter your space to reduce stress and overwhelm.

    • Movement and meditation practices to help you get a good night’s sleep.

  • Our world is a pretty chaotic place right now. As a society, we are more divided than ever and seem to have lost the ability to see the good in people and to be open to another’s opinion and perspective. It feels like there is nothing we can do to stop these dividing conversations.

But, there is something we can do - we can learn to practice gratitude and loving-kindness. It starts with self-love and gratitude in order to move toward seeing our shared humanity and experiences with others.

In part 1 of a this two part workshop, you’ll learn:

    • Why self-love and self-care are so important

    • What it means to cultivate Loving-Kindness, or the strong wish for the general welfare and happiness of others and yourself.

    • How to practice Loving-Kindness Meditation

    In part 2, you’ll learn:

    • Why it’s hard for us to shift toward appreciation and gratitude thanks to our innate negativity bias

    • How to begin cultivating forgiveness and being open to other people’s views and opinions

    • The Power of Gratitude

    • Conscious Communication and gratitude exercises that will begin to shift your perspective in order to bring you a sense of ease and connected-ness.

  • There is a part of our mind that is constantly scanning for danger, which is a really good thing when there is an immediate threat. Unfortunately, this also means that you tend to live in a constant haze of what could go wrong. And the way your mind tries to make sense of it all, and keep you safe, is to create stories based on past, learned experiences that are sometimes not very helpful.

When we recognize these stories for what they are - just stories - we can begin to see more clearly into the reality of each situation and make better decisions.

In this one hour workshop you’ll learn:

    • How changing your habits can change your destiny

    • How to train yourself to separate what you can control from what you can’t control and exercises you can practice around what you can control

    • How to move you from emotionally reacting to being able to think things through in an organized and cognitive manner
