Serenity Yoga is conveniently located at 15 College Street in South Hadley, MA across from Mount Holyoke College.  Nestled in the heart of the Village Commons, the studio is a peaceful, cozy environment where the focus is on accessible classes, skilled teachers and the health and wellness of the community.  Serenity Yoga offers a variety of ongoing classes that include gentle and beginner yoga, moderate yoga and advanced vinyasa yoga. Intro to Yoga - 8 week series beginning September 14thKendra Triangle

Have you always been curious about yoga and wondered why it is so popular nowadays? Or, have you been to a few classes and just felt lost?

In this class students learn the building blocks of the foundational postures from the ground up. Students learn standing poses, heart openers, beginner-level backbends, twists, forward bends, and inversions.

This class is fun, safe, comfortable and perfect for students who have never done yoga before, are beginners, or have physical concerns or injuries, and is appropriate for students of all levels.

Welcome Bonni-Lynne Sandler!Bonnie

Please join me in welcoming Bonni-Lynne Sandler to the Serenity Yoga teaching Community!

Bonni will be teaching two new afternoon classes! Transformational Yoga will be held from 4:00pm-5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting September 8th and 10th!

Transformational Flow Yoga is a unique approach to yoga that encourages students to begin their own transformation process. During every class session, various methods such as Thai yoga massage, yin yoga style release work, hands-on assists, neuromuscular facilitation, resistance stretching, and various forms of meditation and breathwork help release tension and tightness. The practice ends with a guided meditation to deeply relieve stress. No prior yoga experience needed.

Bonni will be doing Yoga as Therapy, Thai Structural Integration, Reiki and other individualized bodywork in the studio! Please click on Private Lessons for more details.

Bonni-Lynne holds a BS in Health Science, MS in Education, is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance and an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She completed her yoga teacher/bodyworker training at Sanctuary Studios and is completing an advanced Orthopedic Yoga Therapy Program. A former public school teacher, she is licensed to teach Health and Special Education K-12. After walking into a yoga class 12 years ago, suffering from chronic pain, yoga literally gave her back her life and introduced her to a more balanced, gratifying existence. She teaches specializes in transformational yoga, which emphasizes alignment to keep the body safe, while weaker muscles become strong and overworked muscles relax. Her training in anatomy and physiology of combined with the psychology of the brain allows her to assist others in discovering their own power using mind to tap into the body's own natural healing ability. Private Therapeutic Bodywork/Energy Healing Sessions combine Yoga as Therapy, Thai Yoga Massage, Fascial Release, Postural Integration, Reiki, Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra and other modalities. Karen is returning from Maine and so is her Wednesday All Levels Class! The first class will be on Wednesday, September 2nd from 9:00-10:15am.

This includes awareness and healing at each level of being (the five koshas) — physical, energetic, mental-emotional, and bliss-healing layers of your being, in order to dissolve away tensions to reveal your True Self.

New Tuesday Lunchtime Power Yoga Class! Lunch yoga

Please join Kim for a Lunch Power Yoga class on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00pm! It's a perfect way to spend your lunch hour!

This class will be a 60-minute, fast-paced sequence of flowing postures that links breath and movement together. The room will be heated allowing for a good workout, more flexibility and a deeper cleansing. Students with all levels of experience are welcome!
