Serenity Yoga is conveniently located at 15 College Street in South Hadley, MA across from Mount Holyoke College.  Nestled in the heart of the Village Commons, the studio is a peaceful, cozy environment where the focus is on accessible classes, skilled teachers and the health and wellness of the community.  Serenity Yoga offers a variety of ongoing classes that include gentle and beginner yoga, moderate yoga and advanced vinyasa yoga. Restorative Yoga for Stress Relief: A workshop with massage and aromatherapy! Sunday, April 26th!Restorative

Please join Ali cook on Sunday April 26th from 3:00pm-4:00pm for Restorative Yoga!

Stress exists in our daily lives, but sometimes it begins to catch up with us and our bodies as they absorb the shock. From diminished sleep to lowered quality of life, stress poses a real threat to our well-being. Restorative yoga works to combat the wear and tear of tension on the body by creating an environment in which the we can relax.

Brand New to Yoga? - Beginner Series on Mondays from 4/27-5/18 at 6:30pm! Ali Cook

Have you always been curious about yoga and wondered why it is so popular nowadays? Or, have you been to a few classes and just felt lost?

In this 4-week class you will learn about how to get started in Hatha Yoga, a gentle basic style. We will break down basic poses and then put them back together to learn sun salutations, breathing techniques and guided meditation practices.

This class will be slow to moderate pace and adjusted according to the physical needs on the students.

I have had the pleasure of welcoming some awesome teachers to the Serenity Community this past month, and Karen is no exception! Karen is a thoughtful teacher who seeks to connect with her students and empower them to discover what's possible in their lives, on and off the mat.

Please join her Wednesday afternoons from 11:45am-1:00pm, starting May 6th, for Heated Vinyasa!

This class is a sequence of flowing postures that links breath and movement together. The room will be heated allowing for a good workout, more flexibility and a deeper cleansing. Students with all levels of experience are welcome!

Yoga & Ayurveda Workshop! Saturday, May 16th!holistic health

Please join Andrea Caluori and certified Ayurvedic practitioner Dorin Ben-Ami on Saturday, May 16th from 1:00-3:00pm!

A 2 hour workshop where you will learn important Ayurvedic wellness tips for staying healthy and balanced followed by a 75 minute Ayurveda-inspired yoga practice.

The Wednesday lineup at Serenity has completely changed for the good! Make sure not to miss out on any of the below opportunities! There are so many options - hopefully one is just right for you!

9:00-10:15am All Levels with Karen Sheingold!
Students of all levels of experience and ability are welcome. Karen will offer options for beginners as well as more challenging options for the experienced yogi.

If you haven't taken Karen's class yet, you are surely missing out! I found her alignment-based style to be eye opening as I explored postures I've been doing for years in a new light. Don't miss a chance to practice with her.

11:45am-1:00pm Heated Vinyasa with Karen Detmers!

5:30-6:45pm Beginner Yoga with Pat Schumm!
This is a safe and gentle class. And Pat is back! Be sure to come out and welcome her!

7:15-8:15pm 40+ Women's Moderate Yoga with Andrea Caluori!
This is a moderate/intermediate practice specifically tailored to women 40+ with a focus on increasing fitness and flexibility. Free weights will be incorporated while holding some of the postures to help increase upper body strength. Please feel free to bring your own 1-4 pounds weights if you'd like, however it is not required.

Please join Ginny from 9:30am-10:45am for Slow Flow Yoga!

Slow Flow Yoga is a moderate to intermediate asana practice done at a slower pace with an inward focus on breath awareness, anatomical visualization, alignment, mediation and the movement of prana. Attention is paid to the individual expression of each pose. This class is deeply relaxing and transformative.
