Many people in our society wrongly believe that depression doesn’t exist or that you can simply talk yourself out of it. This stigma doesn’t encourage you to seek help. Rather, it can lead you to feel guilty and blame yourself for your depression.    

You hide your symptoms from the world, putting on a brave face in public, and you think you should be able to fix this yourself. You want to live a fulfilling life, but right now, it’s difficult to get out of bed and things that used to be fun just aren’t enjoyable anymore. You can’t explain why you feel this way and you want relief from your suffering.

As someone who has been in your shoes, let me tell you that depression is an illness that you did not choose. You are not to blame and you are not weak.

I know how difficult it is to ask for help when you feel hopeless. I suffered with depression for years, literally unable to get off the floor when the weight of the world was on my shoulders. I spent most of my time faking a smile or laughing at a joke just to fit in with everyone else.  Every day was a constant battle, hearing compliments from others but immediately turning them into negative self-talk.  

Talk therapy and antidepressants provided immediate relief, but yoga helped me heal my depression for good. Through yoga, I discovered a sense of self that allowed me to feel whole again.  Yoga has taught me how to love and accept myself no matter what, and I know it can do the same for you.

The cost of this program is $495.  in addition to the 4 private sessions, I also provide unlimited e-mail and phone support between sessions as you explore what tools work best to retain comfort between sessions and retrain habits for the long term.
