A combination of sustained poses as well as poses flowing in a mindful progression with emphasis on core strength, flexibility and balance. This class is based on physical postures, deep breathing and mindfulness.
Releases tension and stress
Yoga has been a personal practice for Jessica over the last 20 years. First exposed to Yoga through her father’s Integral Yoga practice it has permeated into all aspects of her life. Yoga has been a constant reminder to stop and take a breathe. To live mindfully. To love her body and to nurture her spirituality. Yoga has helped her connect to the universe in a way she was not perceptive to before and holds the promise that there is always more to learn and more we can grow as individuals and as a collective creative consciousness.
Yoga is the foundation practitioners stand upon as life’s constantly changing currents challenge our balance. It has helped Jessica heal and grow in countless ways. Most recently her practice has helped her maintain her sense of self and confidence as she left behind a 17 year long career as a Business Manager in the Fashion Apparel Industry to become a stay at home Mom. Embarking on this new life has also allowed her to pursue a study in Organic Permaculture gardening and a Yoga teacher training.
Jessica completed her 200 hour teacher training in Embodyoga with Corinne Matthews at the Yoga Center in Amherst, MA. She gained more from this experience than she thought possible.
In Jessica's classes, she encourages students to follow their breathe as she guides them through sequences inspired by her knowledge in Embodyoga and Ashtanga flow. Taking them on a journey inward and outward simply by using all that their own bodies and minds have to offer. Jessica's wish is that her students embrace self love, are challenged, are inspired to deepen their practice and always feel safe and comfortable.
