"In poor posture the muscles are doing a part of the job of the bones." - Moshe Feldenkrais
The ability to direct force clearly through our skeletons to provide support is essential for ease of movement and limits wear and tear on our tissues and joints. If in any way we "fall" off of our skeletal support, shearing forces do damage, and potentially cause pain. In this workshop we will explore what it means to find support from the ground to improve stability in the hip joints. This in turn allows for the possibility to generate more power with less work in any of our daily activities, and helps us to feel lighter.
Workshop will include exploration of two Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons and will include time for discussion and questions.
No experience necessary – all are welcome!
