Serenity Yoga is a peaceful and compassionate environment that supports the health and wellness of our community. Our yoga classes are accessible to people of all levels, and we strive to create a nonjudgmental atmosphere where you'll feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door.    

We are not interested in folding you into a pretzel and we don't promote a celebrity ideal of what yoga should be.  We make it comfortable for a teenager and a retiree to practice next to each other. You are allowed to explore and grow your practice here.  We want you to do what feels good, to not compare yourself with others and to let go of expectations.  

You'll find we don't take ourselves too seriously.  We are real people doing real yoga with our real bodies and then going about our day with a renewed sense of calm.

Having been in the fitness field for over 10 years, I’ve attended a myriad of different types of yoga classes. And have been wowed and non-plussed time and time again. It’s a certain type of class that truly leaves your body transformed afterward and Serenity Yoga has that wow factor. I felt like Michele’s class was designed to rewire my muscle patterns to keep me more open throughout the rest of the day and to free my mind to tap into my intuitive self. Michele’s education around yoga is obvious in her precision for form and her ability to convey it in an extremely accessible way. I especially liked when Michele reminded us to smile mid-pose. In a class with students of various levels, she was able to easily describe how each person could modify to get the most out of the pose. I feel like I've been cheated in other yoga classes where I learn to physically go through the motions in order to work up a sweat, but without getting the benefits of the pose. I realized how to do this after just one class with Michele. I recommend this studio for its quality and welcoming atmosphere. ~ Berit

At the beginning of 2017 I resolved to find ways to take more time to "take time".  I felt like I was always running at a million miles an hour and needed to slow down and find things for myself that allowed me to take time.  I have tried a few things over the course of the last six month-- but the thing that has given me the most joy has been finding yoga and Serenity.  I enjoy so much about Serenity- I have gotten to experience class with many of the very skilled instructors and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every single class I have taken!   But what I love the most is that I stepped out of my comfort zone and have found something that gives me incredible joy.
